number one hundred and sixty-one
home sweet home.
reached singapore this morning at 00:51:30. and it feels good to be back in singapore. but also not really a nice feeling to leave the ob center in sabah. had a really really good time there. the experience is indeed once in a lifetime.
this is going to be a long post. there's so many things to talk about.
day 01 : went to PAHQ, took a bus to johor for a plane ride to kota kinabalu. SADLY, the budget airline was delayed. for 3 full hours. and because of this, i wasted RM30 on the crap that they called food. really disgusting stuff to eat. but they had a internet cafe there so i just used a computer to go onto msn without paying at the counter. blahblahblah.
day 02 : arrived at ob center sabah at 0200. got bunk allocations and groups. they prepared dinner for us there. but when we arrived it was already so cold. but we ate anyway. in the morning after we woke, camp briefing and stuff. then we did camp craft. starting fires etc etc. not a really exciting day. my group had bukit batok people, because they sent their students to ob sabah too. bbss majority. there was also a 17 yr old retainee in my group. self-introduction, get to know each other. the usual stuff.
day 03 : the fun begins. SAILING EXPEDITION. had to sail to an offshore island. by rowing oars and putting sails up when there's wind. real fun. the whole whaler got seasick. seasick = a sick feeling deep inside you, giddiness, want to vomit all the time, sleepy, raise your head and you feel like you want to die. two people vomitted. i almost did. one vomit was on the sail. so we had to wash it onboard. not pleasant. but in the end we ended up being towed by the rescue boat. because i think our instructors (max & rosli) felt that we couldn't function anymore. at the island, we made camp. i was suppose to do the fire. but another guy who was supposed to do the tents came and butted in. wasn't very pleased. but we got the fire up and the day was done.
enough for now. i'll die if i put all 12 days out at once.
i had a fun time. and got to know many people and some of my old mindsets changed. got to know myself better too. and set a few new goals that i want to achieve.
next up: sec1 orientation camp. kind of looking forward to it. maybe because i've not seen many people for the last 12 days. miss you all.
but as usual, coming back means coming back to the problems. right now, homework. damn.
once again, it's good to be back. seriously. i miss so many things. and i've learnt how to appreciate the things i have.
