number two hundred and eighty-seven

this thursday seems unnaturally free. homework-less (ignoring the one econs question yet to be done), if that's what unnaturally free is about. but as we all know, that's unlikely, there's BOUND to be something undone.

MONDAY. gave my house speech/video, and im real glad that the ursarians liked it. thanks for the support to those that have encouraged me and wish me luck. really appreciate that. but the sucky part is that i cannot seem to get the video to save (yes up till now). it's in a window movie maker format, but for god-knows-what reason, everytime i try to save it into a .wmv file, WMM hangs and dies on me. gaaah. oh, and for those who havent voted, no matter what house you're from, htpp://evoting.vjc.sg

TUESDAY. labour day, so it was a day off. spent practically the whole day on maths. but it was worth it i guess, covered the basics for the more recent topics. and watched spiderman 3 too. rather good i must say, the whole movie flows pretty well, and the plot isn't too boring or anything.

WEDNESDAY. SC investiture. well, i guess it's inevitable that the past batch must step down for the new batch. but the main thing is that, wow, it's time for the year-1s to get a seat at the reigns now. it was only what, four months? since we came into VJC as freshies and now people from our batch are already stepping up and taking up leadership positions.

sometimes i wonder, when someone makes a mark so quickly, will it stay for long? or after a few years, they will slowly fade away and become buried under the sands of time, remembered by few. how would one make their mark last through the strains of time? what can one do, that would make his or her deed echo, if possible, eternally? but dah'well, it's just a college, how far in the future can you make your mark?

KI today was thought-provoking. it clarified my viewpoint about people's "excuse" of inner-beauty being a LARGE part, or if not all, of them making a decision when choosing a soul-mate (temporarily, forever, i leave it to them). my stand is that the overuse of "inner-beauty" is grossly misused. mr wong sort of "certain-ised" my view on this matter. when you look at things with a viewpoint you wouldn't usually use, you'll discover new things.

inner-beauty. hmmm, why do people think in such ways? is it a mere excuse to cover up their perceptual satisfaction (which they see as "shallow", or "naive")? or are they going with the flow of "inner-beauty" being more important. i must say that external beauty has its alluring points, internal beauty? well, let's just say that it isn't that easy to discover that point in people.

you have to talk to them. get to know them. feel as they feel. then perhaps one would catch a glimpse at the inner-beauty. brief, but a brief moment tells much.

they are people that i would like to know more about. other than what i think i know from the brief moments where we converse through the windows to our souls.
so come on, tell me.
me.
