number three hundred and nine
what a freaking boring day -.- was supposed to have training today. but there was this huge monster storm in the morning, which luckily stopped before noon. but then there was the aftermath, which was no wind. no wind = no sailing = bored. well, at least i got to go out and read a large portion of my book.
i shall dedicate this post to my daydreams (although i was told not to daydream heh) of potential jobs in the future.
librarian:
now now, chuck the mental images of the typial singaporean librarians - middle-aged (malay) ladies; uniformed school kids etc. wouldn't it be cool if there were private libraries in singapore? those like the komura memorial library frm kafka on the shore. then being a librarian like oshima would be super cool. just do the standard stuff, shelving books and stuff, then i'll just plop on my chair behind the counter and read the day away. and go home at closing time.
pity we don't have private libraries. and the pay isn't good too. dah'well...
k i cant think of anymore potential jobs that are in my daydreams.
so, we had chalet last week. which was FUN! except the part when i got my breakfast robbed. and even though i got to eat it in the end, mind you, i don't like my breakfast being taken away. day 1 was the late check-in day, so we just checked in and went to eat in the incredibly smoky coffeeshop. but the food was great. and after that i sent a special someone home (: the trip was worth it. and met jia hao on the way back, but i slept on the bus so it almost made no difference LOL.
and oh, jia hao is a real camwhore. not the bad camwhore sense, but the camwhore camwhore sense, hahaha.
day 2 was much much better albeit the little gnuiorghure in the morning. no one tried to poison anybody. and then it was more shopping for food cos the supply was depleted by the previous night. then there was the bbq at night which was very nice (:
i just finished watching a documentary on history channel about the khmer rouge regime and they're war atrocities. and i must say there are really screwed up people in this world. tsktsktsk.
STUDY TIME! geee i'm so excited.
but before that, i was listening to jay chou's new album (yes chinese music i know), then he had a line that said "没有地球太阳还是会绕会绕". translated directly it says "no earth, sun still keeps rotating". which is kinda Ptolemic. dude, Copernican here? haha :D
so come on, tell me.
