number three hundred and twelve

BACK FROM EXPEDITION! and damn, was it fun.

first day:
pasir ris mrt at 8am, then we ended up waiting till 9+, as usual, before setting out to pasir ris park to rent the bikes. which was $45 for 3 days rental. LUCKY i had my own bike, hahaha! after that, it was off to the first check-point at east coast park. the cycling part was alright, for now. and after reaching ecp, we debated whether to eat at macs or the food centre.

"MAAAAAAAC MAAAAAAAAAAAC MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAC!" so ya, macs it was. and after macs was the rest of the journey to west coast park. which is at the OTHER side of the country -.-

halfway it rained and we rode and it rained somemore and we rode our bikes somemore and by the time we reached wcp it was already night so we pitched out tents and went to eat...macs. which was the only food place in wcp (so far), so macs AGAIN. then it was bathing with 1.5L bottles in the toilet and PSP and sleep.

and oh the was sentry duty in the morning. which was spent PSP-ing. so the batteries ran out pretty quickly.

second day:
it's quite nice waking up near the beach, cos you get the sound of waves crashing and all those sort of sunlight-peeking-through-the-curtains(tents "door" in this case) thing. so yeah, and we wised up and decided NO MORE macs, and embarked on a quest to discover new places for our palates. and we stumbled across a COFFEESHOP across the road and through some blocks. and a mac-less meal is truly a bliss.

after breakfast, we mucked around deciding whether to set out. and in the meantime, the PSPs were charged using power sockets presumably meant for construction works LOL. at around noon, we set out for kallang.

cycled cycled and cycled and got our butts and hands and groins very sore and numb and ya you get the picture. PLUS it was raining the whole way! almost 90% of the time so hooray for us. we arrived at kallang mrt very wet, and gloomy. and after making our way (with much difficulty) through city hall, bugis, chinatown which was filled with many stupid things that stand in your way even if you ring at them with your bicycle bell.

accomadations was supposed to be a hotel, near kallang aka in geylang but we chucked that idea after seeing all the..."folks" hanging around. so instead, we went to ecp. and had (no not macs), but SUBWAY! for dinner and some of us pitched tents after that while some just slept in the open.

third day:
bike return. go home rest a while. meet up at tampines mrt. go to daryl's house for bbq. pool and table tennis. chicken thighs+wings, sausages, marshmellows, satays, company of 13 very good friends.

well, my three days in short were very fun.

NAKAMAS
so come on, tell me.
me.
